A History of Helping Washingtonians
When Dr. Kellogg opened Kellogg Optometry in 1978, his goal was to provide a premium eye care service to the Spokane area. As his business and patient reach expanded, it was time to welcome Dr. Evans and Dr. Carlson to the practice and become The Eye Care Team.
The Eye Care Team’s vision has always been centered around connecting people in our neighborhoods with cutting-edge optometric practices. Our goal is to improve our patient’s vision with every visit, be it with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology or cool new eyewear. We take a lot of pride in watching our patients grow up with happy, healthy vision.
The opening of our Chewelah location allowed us to connect with more people in Eastern Washington, providing the same great care that has worked in downtown Spokane for over 40 years. We continue to serve generations of Washington families and never stop searching for ways to make our optometry practice better.
Our Mission
To Improve the Quality of Life for Every Patient We See, Every Time We See Them.
A Variety in High Fashion

Your eyewear fashion is an extension of your personality – we know that!
That’s why The Eye Care Team carries over 25 eyewear fashion lines from design houses worldwide. We love to complement superior eye care with designs that fit your unique lifestyle. Our optical dispensary offers thousands of frames ranging from sleek to sexy, and conservative to contemporary.
We have privileged partnerships with brands locally exclusive to The Eye Care Team, such as Anne & Valentin and Face a Face. Our fashion variety includes sunglasses, transitions, and sports-specific eyewear. We want you to feel confident whenever and wherever you wear glasses.

An Emphasis on Technology
One of the ways we continue to get better is by implementing advanced technology in optometric care. Modern medical technology continues to improve accuracy in eye disease diagnosis and management. Optometric innovation constantly enhances the patient experience with more comfortable machines and less-invasive procedures.
At The Eye Care Team, we invest the time to research and select new eye care devices that help us manage and maintain your vision. Optometry is an ever-evolving field, and our practice continues to advance so that we can improve your quality of life with every visit.
